Project details
This is a reforestation project where 3 species were planted on 1.34 hectares:
- Hybrid Larch (Larix x eurolepis) – 890 individuals.
- Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea) – 1,110 individuals.
In total, 2,000 trees were planted with the support of PlantC.

- Planting period: February 2021.
- The survival rate was checked in autumn 2021.
- 266 tonnes of CO2 sequestered over 30 years.
This project is carried out in partnership with the Royal Forestry Society of Belgium.
Visit to the plot in 2022

On July 27, 2022, we surveyed the plot. It is clear that the plantation is still thriving. The forest manager and the PlantC team visited the entire plot, and we observed the coexistence of local flora and the growing trees. Indeed, foresters must manage drought periods, and leaving vegetation cover on the ground helps limit soil water evaporation while also reducing excessive competition with the trees.
