PlantC and ValBiom have chosen to partner to further support the emergence of innovative plantations necessary for Belgium’s environmental and economic transition.
ValBiom stimulates and facilitates the realization of sustainable, integrating biomass production and its transformation into energy and materials initiatives. The objective of the partnership between ValBiom and PlantC is to implement plantations to produce non-food biomass. ValBiom, a reference organization, often identifies potential projects requiring support. PlantC will then be able to propose collecting the necessary funds from their clients for these specific and innovative projects.
The non-food biomass plantations mentioned above are: the cultivation of miscanthus and the (very) short-rotation willow coppice crops, established on agricultural land and taking place in Wallonia. Together, we will ensure the presentation of quality projects developed with qualified professionals. Above all, the aim is to propose meaningful solutions to provide Belgium with a diversity of sustainable and renewable energies and materials. With the ultimate goal of achieving a resilient economic model, based on local value chains: the bio-based economy.
