Our Purpose

Strengthening biodiversity, while adapting our territories to climate change.

Our Vision

To create a balance between human activities and a healthy ecosystem.

In the face of the ongoing decline in biodiversity, and the climate disruption caused by humanity and its consumption patterns, it is urgent to redefine our relationship with the living world, here and now.

We will not solve the challenges of the 21st Century alone.

But we want to do our utmost and act where we can, by providing our scientific expertise and resources to economic stakeholders, farmers, foresters, and landowners.

We are changing the game by creating synergies rather than oppositions.

PlantC’s mission is to support actions that promote biodiversity, adapt our territories to climate disruption while mitigating its effects, through a partnership approach that places people at the centre.

All the projects we carry out must meet four cumulative objectives:

Support biodiversity by creating or restoring habitats or ecological corridors. In agricultural and forest areas and on company-owned land.
Help sequester carbon in soils or biomass through photosynthesis.
Help adapt our territories by mitigating one or more risks: limiting soil erosion and mudflows, limiting the impact of cold or drying winds on crops, providing shade or alternative food resources for livestock, preserving disappearing wetlands, etc.
Help build a bio-based economy where people and nature work in synergy: production of seedlings, biomass, fruit, etc.

We believe that businesses, public authorities and citizens can contribute with us to these objectives and become our partners. Our partners deserve the very best from us.

To fulfil our mission, we want to seize every opportunity, here and now, and through to 2100. Our ambition is to expand our reach from Belgium. Grow our team while respecting our founding values and our partners.

Co-founder - Biodiversity Lead - Nature Guide®

Biologist, Dr. in environmental management, and driven by fieldwork. She ensures the ecological quality of projects and designs developments integrated into the ecological network.

Lucas

Co-founder - Strategy Manager

Bioengineer, with a master's in management sciences and a thirst for discovery, he develops innovative solutions to integrate biodiversity into projects, combining scientific expertise and a long-term vision.

Romain

Co-founder - Customer Experience and Communication

With his experience in project management, he enthusiastically coordinates territorial initiatives. He promotes projects, ensures liaison with partners, and translates the ecological vision into concrete actions.

Landscape Architect - Nature Guide®

She combines a passion for nature with a sense of design. She designs sustainable and aesthetic developments, while managing estimates and measurements to ensure project accuracy.

Clémence

Ecologist biologist - project manager

She combines scientific expertise and project management: file monitoring, mapping, and statistical analysis from the office. If you don't find her there, it's because she's in the field, where projects come to life.

Thomas

Forester and Ecologist

A bioengineer specializing in forest and natural area management, and an experienced field ecologist (birds, herpetology, entomology, botany, bats), he combines field survey experience with office-based analysis while taking into account both global and local issues.

Commitments

Reconnecting human activity and the planet: Our preferred areas of engagement are where humanity meets nature. A hedge often borders a cultivated plot, an agricultural pond remains under the watchful eye of a farmer, and forestry projects integrate sustainable silvicultural management. Our approach is not to dissociate humanity from its ecosystem, but to remind that interdependencies exist.

Versatile scientific expertise: We develop concrete, tailor-made solutions to restore local ecosystems, promote biodiversity, and mitigate the effects of climate change, and we handle projects from their conception, implementation, and monitoring.
