Context in Tintigny

The reforestation follows various episodes of bark beetle outbreaks.

The plot covers more than 2.6 hectares and the owner has chosen to work with nature, as he is relying on the natural regeneration of oaks.

As such, the oak seed trees are indeed maintained within the plot.

Tintigny Plot

Longitudinal in shape, the plot is mostly surrounded by deciduous trees (notably ash and oak).

The resinous plantation is organized as a Larch/Black Pine and Larch/Black Pine/Douglas Fir mix.

The survival rate is 97% for all 3 species.
