François Misse is a farmer and veterinarian in Tohogne, a district of the town of Durbuy. In 2024, we had the opportunity to launch a first planting project with him.

Satisfied with the service (thanks to our collaboration with Trafic), François expressed a desire to continue planting!

Is his dream becoming a reality?

As you may know, François raises Belgian Blue and Wagyu cattle. And because he is a committed individual, he also serves as a veterinarian for cattle.

His objective: To promote the well-being of his animals, which led François to approach PlantC again to complement his hedge lines.

Hedge lines (in green) and tree alignments (in yellow)

After surveying the plots in 2024, we identified several locations to strengthen the hedge network in 2025. As the farm is surrounded by forests, the hedges will significantly contribute to the ecological network of the area, stabilize the soil and improve runoff management while protecting his livestock from the sun and strong winds.

Furthermore, a 405-meter tree alignment will eventually provide a tree layer within the hedges…

Project Handover

The project handover took place on January 30, 2026 at Françoise Misse’s. The project matches the one presented on the page.

Despite some unforeseen issues related to the exact location of certain hedges, the entire project was completed in accordance with the initial intentions. Some additional access points to the plots were created to facilitate future management.

The plantings planned by PlantC are confirmed. A pro-rata adjustment was necessary and is being covered by François.
