Frequently Asked Questions
We primarily work with private landowners. Public land is already very well managed by public services. To date, we have not received any requests regarding this.
Change lies in the power of collaborating together! We are accustomed to working with organizations that are also very active in the field and are dismayed when a project is hindered by a lack of knowledge, technical expertise, or funding. Are you frustrated by a project that isn’t progressing? Stuck? Let’s discuss it; we will see what we can achieve together!
Our Community of committed contributors! These include citizens, large companies, and individual entrepreneurs. The common denominator? Their desire, like yours, to implement projects for the benefit of the environment.
Unfortunately, no. We only support projects hindered by financial and technical obstacles. We do not financially support projects subject to permits or related to compensation.
When you have a project, it is best to contact us by phone or email. Based on your information, we internally assess the relevance of your project according to our admission criteria. If you decide to work with us, we will indeed be bound by a long-term agreement. However, this is the only administrative document that will need to be signed. As for the rest, you must accept a spotlight on you and your operation!
Since 2020, we have been working in partnership with the Royal Forestry Society of Belgium. Some projects are thus referred to us through this partnership. In parallel, we develop calls for projects with a more specific goal of carbon sequestration. In both cases, we are curious to learn more. Contact us!
It is unlikely that we will be able to assist you. Our support is both technical and financial. In other words, we must validate the technical conditions beforehand and then be able to present your project to our Community of contributors. This is ongoing work; we do not have financial resources readily available in advance.
We are not here to judge. However, we wish to support change where its impact will be most significant. If you are considering a project with impact, it means that, in a way, you are undergoing a transition. We are curious to learn more!
Our projects adhere to the principle of additionality. In other words, would your project materialize without PlantC? Our mechanism is relevant to you if you lack time, technical skills, or financial resources to implement your project.
If you are able and wish to obtain public funding, prioritize it! It can be highly beneficial. If you cannot access it through other means, then our mechanism may be of interest to you. The best course of action is to discuss it.
We are precisely here to assist you. Even if it is an embryonic project, let us discuss it. The sooner we address it, the better. No project is too small or too large. There are no good or bad projects. Let us discuss it!
Firstly, you must own the plot (or have the owner’s consent); have a farmer registration number and demonstrate a long-term commitment to the project.
Secondly, your project must address current challenges. For example: combating biodiversity collapse, limiting soil erosion, protecting crops and farm animals, combating floods, … but there are no good or bad projects, so please feel free to share your ambition with us in the first instance.
We add a fee to the project cost, which enables us to carry out our work: conducting site visits, coordinating the project (from its technical specifications to its follow-up), communicating with beneficiaries and with you, prospecting, etc. We ensure that this fee does not exceed the project’s overall cost. This is why we have decided to support projects of a certain scale. For “smaller” projects, we find alternative solutions.
