Welcome to Crutins Farm! A small-scale farm that promotes biodiversity, the well-being of its animals, and its soils.
The farm has been organic since 1998. More than a farming method, it is a true philosophy that guides the choices of Wendy and her family, whether in terms of crop rotation or the selection of animal breeds best adapted to the farm’s natural environment.
They maximize biodiversity and respect nature, using no pesticides or chemical agents of any kind for either their crops or their animals. Here, 470 meters of hedge have been planted with PlantC and Trafic.

The first meeting with Wendy took place in February 2023. We took the time to listen to her concerns, to determine the linear sections and functions desired for the hedge:
- produce berries,
- provide shade and forage for livestock,
- to strengthen the ecological network on her farm,

The Hedge: An Ecological and Nourishing Corridor
Meeting many criteria eligible for its Takecare sustainability program, the company Trafic chose to co-finance the approximately 470 meters of hedgerows.
On February 3, 2024, the planting of the linear sections took place after the periods of rain and frost. Prior to this, following the advice of the PlantC team, Bastien tilled the soil to facilitate the planting of the hedge.

The hedge consists of chestnut trees, wild apple trees, hawthorns, red currants*… A mix of more than 12 different species of native trees and shrubs are now planted.
