Walloon Brabant and PlantC have partnered to implement planting projects promoting ecological connectivity in strategically identified areas.
PlantC supports the collective program “Co-building the ecological network in Walloon Brabant” of the Province of Walloon Brabant.
The quality of life and environmental quality in Walloon Brabant depend on its ecological connectivity. It is important to act together to participate in the preservation and restoration of biodiversity, to mitigate fragmentation, the disappearance of habitats, and refuges, which are essential for the movement and survival of plant and animal species.

This collaboration is part of the collective project “Co-building the ecological network in Walloon Brabant”.
Walloon Brabant, with the help of municipalities and certain local stakeholders, has established a map of ecological links, the basis of its new collective project “Co-building the ecological network in Walloon Brabant”. It is in this context that Walloon Brabant and PlantC have partnered to implement planting projects promoting ecological connectivity in these identified areas.
This partnership addresses the objective of Walloon Brabant to best develop green and blue corridors, re-establish connections between various terrestrial and aquatic biological interest areas, fostering the restoration and preservation of animal and plant biodiversity.
Specifically, PlantC is mobilizing with Walloon Brabant to co-finance planting projects. Walloon Brabant contributes up to 70% of the project cost. In parallel, the PlantC platform enables businesses and citizens to collectively act in the region. This is perfectly consistent with the collective project underlying this mobilization, “Co-building the ecological network in Walloon Brabant”.
